I first met Cornelis back in 2006 when I purchased a car from him. He was an absolute lunatic in all the best ways, and it showed in both his taste in cars and his stunningly unique jewelry designs. I loved that he stayed in touch with not only creating ultra high end custom pieces but also offering lines of unique, stunning, very affordable things as well.Since he passed away, his wife and son have been keeping things going, and Walter has done a great job filling in his father's shoes, keeping with the same principles of exceptional service that makes their business a no-brainer.I needed to buy an engagement ring about 6 years ago, when Cornelis was still with us, and he took my grandmother's old diamond and designed an absolutely stunning piece around it (pictured below). When it was unfortunately stolen, Jeweler's Mutual insurance paid completely for its replacement, and Walter's recreation of it was so perfect, down to his selection of the diamond, that I literally couldn't tell the difference if you put a gun to my head and a loupe in my hand, and the whole process couldn't have possibly been more hassle free (I don't even live in the state anymore, so everything done with the ring, from first purchase to replacement - was all done over the phone and email) I can't say what I paid, but let me just say that it was un-freaking-believably reasonable.Cornelis also took care of my family's request to have some custom pieces made in memorial of my grandparents. Both Cornelis and Walter have been so good to my family that as long as Walter keeps the business going, he will be getting every single jewelry job that I ever need. It was very sad when Cornelis passed - everyone wore orange on the day of his funeral - even me, who couldn't make it there - but Walter has truly filled his eccentric father's shoes and the business is as spectacular as it ever was.

I lost a ring that was a meaningful gift from my boyfriend. After debating, I contact Cornelis Hollander to have it remade. Tina was extremely helpful, she found the information on the ring immediately, told me it would take 3 weeks, but somehow they did it much faster. Tina was very sweet, responsive, and professional. I love using Cornelis Hollander for all my jewelry needs. Everything I’ve had done is custom, but their catalogue is so unique. Walter asked great questions to draw up mock-ups of what I was looking for. Then, he adjusted the models with my feedback and crafted some beautiful pieces. This is a diligent family owned business that matches larger companies in their quality materials and prices, but they have such a unique style. I love telling my friends about this place - I get so many compliments on my jewelry I have to tell them where it is from. Favorite piece is a ring that Walter drew up a model of from a family heirloom. I had lost one of the two pearl earrings, and Walter made the one I had left into a beautiful ring. Love that it is repurposed and keeps meaning but is now a unique style that gets tons of compliments.

I have been a customer of Cornelius Hollander Design for at least 20 years. They are ethical and have nothing but the highest integrity. I have many beautiful pieces designed and made personally by Cornelius. Unfortunately, he passed away due to illness several years ago. His son Walter has taken over the business and he has inherited his fathers creativity and artistry, but adds a twist of his own. He shares the same integrity that they have always had. He is redesigning my wedding band, which I look forward to.

Okay, so I never should have looked at the ads, that would have saved me lots of money. But, I did, and then a detour had to occur so I could see the rings in person (we were in Sedona). First, I was in touch with Walter and later Tina from Hollander Jewelry. Tina was the person with whom I met after our correspondence. She was also the person who looked up all the prices of the rings that I had seen (in the ad) and lusted for (possibly) and then got back to me via emails prior to my visit. It was inevitable that I would find a ring that I wanted, the question was would I be willing to fork out the money. Well, I did. The ring arrived (Tina kept in touch, so I knew when to expect the ring), which was a good thing because my post office left it at my front door. I don't know what else could have been done because I was supposed to sign for the package, but that issue is "on" my post office, not the store. My ring is utterly lovely and I feel like a young lady who has to stare at her shiny glittery ring.

I have followed Cornelis Hollander's jewelry designs for years and have continued to be amazed with everything he makes. When my husband and I visited his store in August 2011, I was told to pick out my favorite engagement rings so that I could later be surprised. The shock was bigger than I expected when he popped the question because a new custom ring had been made that combined all of my favorite design elements. Thank you so much Cornelis!

I engaged Cornelis Hollander, and specifically Tina and Walter, to help me create a custom engagement ring for my fiancé. Both were incredibly patient as we worked through a number of iterations of the ring design to land upon a piece that is truly beautiful, artistic and structurally sound. My fiancé proposed to me with a family heirloom ring as a 'stand-in' for THE ring which he wanted me to design/select as we would be using a gorgeous diamond that he had been bequeathed. I cannot say enough amazing things about Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs. My now husband and I found them while we were living in Arizona. As soon as we walked in the door for the first time, my husband knew immediately that he would be purchasing my engagement ring from there. My husband first purchased my engagement ring here, then we went back to tell Cornelis how much I loved it! We went back again for our wedding bands and worked with Walter. The customer service here is the best! I was not sure what kind of band I wanted and Walter was very patient and made helpful suggestions of what they could do that was different than what was on display. I had a number of family heirloom pieces that I wanted to recreate into custom designed, modern pieces. Tina and crew were OUTSTANDING!! I made an appointment and they spent over two hours with me reviewing the items I had, and offering design ideas for new pieces. They provided final designs via CAD visuals and their recommendations were incredible! They helped consolidate an overwhelming number of pieces into a few beautiful, modern pieces that will preserve my family heirlooms and create items I will enjoy wearing. My boyfriend and I had gone to multiple retail locations to start the process of figuring out what we liked for engagement rings. At every storefront location, it seemed like the process was getting harder and much more stressful. The last stop was Cornelis Hollander. Walking in we knew immediately this experience was going to be different. Not only did it feel like the process of figuring out what we liked and wanted, we were confident in moving forward with custom engagement rings. We worked with Katie, who understood the initial overwhelm and was so helpful. With our experience, and the contrasting experience with other Jewlers, I’d highly recommend coming here. I’m also a vet, just returned home and the loud noises of big Jewlers/the flashy bs don’t help me when trying to stay focused, too many people creates a sense of anxiety. I can’t speak highly of this location and their team enough. It’s quiet, a one on one experience that feels like they have your best interest at heart. You can tell they love what they do.

I have been eyeing these designs for years, just waiting for the right time. When the time came I reached out on line and Tina was awesome from the start. She helped me through the process of narrowing things down then helped me step by step with all of the variables that come with an engagement ring. Once I was finally ready to come in person she met me there and guided me through all of the choices with good advice and TONS of patience. She made sure I was 100% confident in what I chose and assured me if there was anything that needed to be changed or adjusted she would have it done right away. Once I chose the right one she made sure it was ready for me ahead of schedule so I my proposal wasn't delayed. I would recommend them to anyone looking for jewelry. Their designs are one of a kind and so is their service.

Highly Recommend! I purchased my husbands ring after searching for months. I wanted to find something unique but nothing stood out enough until I found Cornelis Hollander in Old Town Scottsdale. We looked at all of the rings in his showroom and asked him to modify/customize one his own designs for us. On one occasion my husband had accidentally banged his ring on a door handle so hard that a few stones were knocked out and when we took it in for repair, they were replaced and the ring made to look new again at no cost to us. Flash forward a few more years when my husband's ring was lost. He loved the design so much that we had it replaced with exactly the same design, only changing the metal from 18k gold to Cobalt. We have been very pleased with their level of customer service and would highly recommend Cornelis Hollander if you want something unique, substantial and modern. It has been almost 14 years since our original purchase and probably about 10 since we replaced. Though we haven't taken it in for polishing in years, it still looks great!

My husband went to Cornelius Hollander for a brand new wedding ring after our 12 yr wedding anniversary. Tina was his salesperson , even though the ring wasn't ready by the first date we were given , because Tina said the designer was a perfectionist. I was okay with waiting a little longer after 12 yrs . My husband designed the ring custom made just for me, so it was worth the wait. I am very pleased with the finished product! Thanks Tina! Cornelis worked with me last year to update my wedding ring, utilizing my original stones but modernizing the setting with a bold, sleek design. I continue to get constant compliments on it. Recently, he helped me design and create a beautiful right-hand ring using a stone that I wanted re-set. He was great to work with and was very helpful in bringing my ideas to fruition. His staff is very friendly and helpful. The computer program they use is awesome, allowing you to actually see what your design will look like before committing. Love, love, love both rings and highly recommend Cornelis for his unique and stunning designs.

What an Incredible Experience. Cornelis Hollander deserve 10 Stars! To start, Walter is an incredible jewelry designer. I worked with Tina, Katie and Walter. I wanted a new design for a bracelet that was made in Greece. The piece is called "Evil Eye" or Mati" in Greek. The original design was made with paracord. I took the bracelet to Cornelis Hollander. My initial meeting was with Tina. We discussed options and Walter came up with some great redesign ideas. During to design process, I met with Tina, Katie and Walter. We put our heads together decided on a redesign of the bracelet. Since the main piece of the bracelet is 925 Sterling Silver, and Murano glass, we made the bracelet part in 925 Sterling Silver. The entire staff at Cornelis Hollander are such warm-hearted and very friendly people. They make you feel like they knew you for years. Our next project will be designing a new Sapphire/Diamond ring. I can’t say enough good things about CH! We had a great experience finding them online and then working with Walter on the phone to buy the wedding ring we wanted. They customized our ring to get to the price point we were comfortable with and we loved the results! Then a year later we had Walter design a custom wedding band to fit the ring and it was perfect!
