I have been a customer for almost 20 years now. I traveled from Denver to Scottsadle to get an engagement ring created...for round 2 ; ) Cornelis designed my first tension set engagement ring that had my grandmother's diamond in it. So when it was time to re-design, knowing I wanted to use the same stone, there was no place else I was going to go. It was a pleasure to meet and work with Walter, and I was sorry to hear about the passing of his father. I brought my first ring that his dad designed with me, and I saw his eyes light up upon holding it. Once we knew I was going with another Hollander design, he asked to purchase it from me. That meant so much...as it was from another time in my life, but it held many great memories and I hope someone else enjoys wearing it as much as I did. And as for my NEW ring, it's AMAZING and I get so many compliments on it. I very much feel like part of the family at Hollander and would not go anywhere else for my jewelry needs. Although as Walter said, " I'm happy to make you anything you like, but no more engagement rings!"

Walter and the team at Cornelis Hollander Jewelry were outstanding. From email response to in-person customer service, I felt confident that they would be able to handle my needs. My first job was fairly standard with the sizing of a platinum band, while my second job was to restore an antique heirloom ring. The job entailed shank replacement where yellow gold was used instead of rose gold plus sapphire replacement to match the original center stone. Both rings were completed beautifully, but Walter exceeded my expectations by ensuring my antique was fully restored with new prongs to ensure it will last another 100+ years. I lost a ring that was a meaningful gift from my boyfriend. After debating, I contact Cornelis Hollander to have it remade. Tina was extremely helpful, she found the information on the ring immediately, told me it would take 3 weeks, but somehow they did it much faster. Tina was very sweet, responsive, and professional. My fiancé proposed to me with a family heirloom ring as a 'stand-in' for THE ring which he wanted me to design/select as we would be using a gorgeous diamond that he had been bequeathed. From the moment I walked in with my family to their store I knew that this place was perfect for what we were looking for. Tina and Walter were so welcoming and easy to work with. They really took my ideas and turned them into a reality- something that I did not know was possible. Excellent customer service! I had a pair of gold/ diamond earrings that my husband had given me 25 years ago. The clasp had broken And I brought it to Cornelis Hollander for repair. They did such a beautiful job restoring them to the original luster! The repair cost was so reasonable as well I was surprised! I wish I could give them more stars. I adore this place! I have never been much of a jewelry gal ( which i know sound unbelievable), mainly because i always end up loosing it, so I do not even want to risk owning it. However, when I stumbled into Cornelis Hollander's shop, I instantly fell in love and knew my issue with loosing jewelry would soon gone. They have a two piece engagement ring that is to die for. I loved trying it on. The design was so unique and gorgeous I did not want to take it off. Walter was the one that helped us. He was incredible. Walter is a true artist and genius designer. We came to him with a very special family heirloom engagement ring we wanted to design to not only protect the 3ct marquise, but utilize the original baguettes into a “starship alien engagement ring”. I had a number of family heirloom pieces that I wanted to recreate into custom designed, modern pieces. Tina and crew were OUTSTANDING!! I made an appointment and they spent over two hours with me reviewing the items I had, and offering design ideas for new pieces. They provided final designs via CAD visuals and their recommendations were incredible! They helped consolidate an overwhelming number of pieces into a few beautiful, modern pieces that will preserve my family heirlooms and create items I will enjoy wearing. I have used their designs and I've had them make some of my own designs. Either way the pieces come out perfectly. I love using Cornelis Hollander for all my jewelry needs. Everything I’ve had done is custom, but their catalogue is so unique. Walter asked great questions to draw up mock-ups of what I was looking for. Then, he adjusted the models with my feedback and crafted some beautiful pieces. This is a diligent family owned business that matches larger companies in their quality materials and prices, but they have such a unique style. I love telling my friends about this place - I get so many compliments on my jewelry I have to tell them where it is from. Favorite piece is a ring that Walter drew up a model of from a family heirloom. I had lost one of the two pearl earrings, and Walter made the one I had left into a beautiful ring. Love that it is repurposed and keeps meaning but is now a unique style that gets tons of compliments.

I have many beautiful pieces designed and made personally by Cornelius. Unfortunately, he passed away due to illness several years ago. His son Walter has taken over the business and he has inherited his fathers creativity and artistry, but adds a twist of his own. He shares the same integrity that they have always had. He is redesigning my wedding band, which I look forward to.

We just picked up our engagement ring and couldn't be happier with the work, service and experience we had here. We needed a custom ring made from three heirloom rings that we already had. Other jewelers that we talked to were either not excited about doing the work or wanted too long to do it. Walking in the door and meeting Charlene, Cornelis and Walter made us feel instantly at ease and like they had our best interests at heart.. Walter sent us a custom design that was exactly what we talked about within days, and had the ring done in less than two weeks! All of this happened at a very fair affordable price, we will be returning soon to purchase my wedding band.

Walter and the staff at Cornelis Hollander Designs are awesome! Had zero experience with shopping for jewelry, let alone designing a custom piece. They took the time to show me multiple rings and point out the features that accentuated each one, respectively. We compiled the elements I liked from several of them. Within 48hrs I had a rendering of what the ring would look like (didn’t even realize I was designing it with them). They took my feedback, we went back and forth several times (staff is amazingly patient) until it was perfect, and then delivered perfection! The biggest part of this was using stones from an existing ring with heavy sentimental value. I never once felt that I had to worry about the quality of the work, the preservation of the stones or the beauty of the finished ring. The only hard part was hiding it while traveling with my then girlfriend, and now fiancée. Thanks for perfect ring for a perfect person!

First, I am truly sad that Cornelis is no longer with us; a true artist. He designed my ring as I requested, taking inspiration from 3 of his designs combined; came out exactly as imagined. Beautiful elegant and very different from all the every day wedding rings out there! This was my 3rd wedding ring I was changing because I just did’t quite like what was out there! 10 years later and I’m still in love with my ring! I have my eyes set on another beautiful ring...I’ll be visiting the shop soon! I hope his children will be able to carry on his legacy! Absolutely love my engagement ring from Cornelis Hollander!!! My fiance and I worked with Walter to have a diamond I inherited set into a new setting. The entire process was easy and Walter was very professional. We were considering other options from Hamras, Tiffany's and Cartier, but I loved this design and wanted something more unique. I couldn't be happier with how the ring turned out! These iphone pictures don't do it justice. I highly recommend C.H. if you're looking to have custom work done! 🙂 Just updating to add that we had Walter make me a wedding band with pink diamonds & it turned out beautiful!!! It compliments the ring perfectly. I also like having the band to wear by itself when I travel overseas since it is less flashy. It is very cute, almost heart-shaped, and looks great on it's own! FYI - the photo of the two rings together was also taken with my iphone, so the quality isn't great.
