I adore this place! I have never been much of a jewelry gal ( which i know sound unbelievable), mainly because i always end up loosing it, so I do not even want to risk owning it. However, when I stumbled into Cornelis Hollander's shop, I instantly fell in love and knew my issue with loosing jewelry would soon gone. They have a two piece engagement ring that is to die for. I loved trying it on. The design was so unique and gorgeous I did not want to take it off. Walter was the one that helped us. He was incredible. I would suggest stopping by to take a look at their wonderful pieces, even if you are not in the market for some new jewelry.

Wow! This place has gorgeous one-of-a kind jewelry! The location has a nice open feeling with lots of natural light so you can see how the jewelry looks in natural light. I brought my ring in to get it appraised. It is a family run business, Christa, the owner was super nice and introduced me to Walter, her son who went in the back to proceed with the appraisal. In the mean time, I perused and looked at the rings, necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry. They are honest and give great advice. There were so many piece that caught my eye, I'll definitely be back to buy a unique piece of jewelry art!

My husband and I came in with an engagement ring but were looking for a custom designed wedding band. Walter worked very closely with us, listened, and designed a beautiful and unique band that incorporated all our wishes. The result was stunning and better than we thought possible. This is my favorite jewelry store to go and look around. All the jewelry is hand made and one of a kind! Always kind people working here that help you out and explain everything clear. We got our Wedding rings here, after talking with the owner he supplied us with what jewel works with the right metal we choose for our rings. It was a quick process and we are more than happy with the experience!!

I can’t say enough good things about CH! We had a great experience finding them online and then working with Walter on the phone to buy the wedding ring we wanted. They customized our ring to get to the price point we were comfortable with and we loved the results! Then a year later we had Walter design a custom wedding band to fit the ring and it was perfect! What an Incredible Experience. Cornelis Hollander deserve 10 Stars! To start, Walter is an incredible jewelry designer. I worked with Tina, Katie and Walter. I wanted a new design for a bracelet that was made in Greece. The piece is called "Evil Eye" or Mati" in Greek. The original design was made with paracord. I took the bracelet to Cornelis Hollander. My initial meeting was with Tina. We discussed options and Walter came up with some great redesign ideas. During to design process, I met with Tina, Katie and Walter. We put our heads together decided on a redesign of the bracelet. Since the main piece of the bracelet is 925 Sterling Silver, and Murano glass, we made the bracelet part in 925 Sterling Silver. The entire staff at Cornelis Hollander are such warm-hearted and very friendly people. They make you feel like they knew you for years. Our next project will be designing a new Sapphire/Diamond ring. I have been a customer for almost 20 years now. I traveled from Denver to Scottsadle to get an engagement ring created...for round 2 ; ) Cornelis designed my first tension set engagement ring that had my grandmother's diamond in it. So when it was time to re-design, knowing I wanted to use the same stone, there was no place else I was going to go. It was a pleasure to meet and work with Walter, and I was sorry to hear about the passing of his father. I brought my first ring that his dad designed with me, and I saw his eyes light up upon holding it. Once we knew I was going with another Hollander design, he asked to purchase it from me. That meant so much...as it was from another time in my life, but it held many great memories and I hope someone else enjoys wearing it as much as I did. And as for my NEW ring, it's AMAZING and I get so many compliments on it. I very much feel like part of the family at Hollander and would not go anywhere else for my jewelry needs. Although as Walter said, " I'm happy to make you anything you like, but no more engagement rings!"

I engaged Cornelis Hollander, and specifically Tina and Walter, to help me create a custom engagement ring for my fiancé. Both were incredibly patient as we worked through a number of iterations of the ring design to land upon a piece that is truly beautiful, artistic and structurally sound. It was an ambitious undertaking, but Walter really went all out to create an amazing ring! It is just stunning and artistically unique. My fiancé just loves it and I could not be happier with this very special piece that memorializes how much we mean to one another. This is my absolute favorite store! I have four rings that I have ordered and designed through CH in the past 20 years. I can’t say enough good things about their work, quality, and designs. Have purchased 2 different Rings designed by Cornells Hollander. These pieces are absolutely the most beautiful and extremely unique designs that I've ever seen. Just had to buy them for my wife. Met Cornelis and He was absolutely one of the most wonderful gentlemen you would ever want to meet. He added some special touches to our orders and we were astounded with him. I recently found myself reading that Cornelis has recently passed away and my wife and I are deeply saddened. I know his wife will continue with the Family business and we will be once again a repeat customer. We send our deepest condolences and the world has lost a very kind and honest decent man. My boyfriend and I had gone to multiple retail locations to start the process of figuring out what we liked for engagement rings. At every storefront location, it seemed like the process was getting harder and much more stressful. The last stop was Cornelis Hollander. Walking in we knew immediately this experience was going to be different. Not only did it feel like the process of figuring out what we liked and wanted, we were confident in moving forward with custom engagement rings. We worked with Katie, who understood the initial overwhelm and was so helpful. With our experience, and the contrasting experience with other Jewlers, I’d highly recommend coming here. I’m also a vet, just returned home and the loud noises of big Jewlers/the flashy bs don’t help me when trying to stay focused, too many people creates a sense of anxiety. I can’t speak highly of this location and their team enough. It’s quiet, a one on one experience that feels like they have your best interest at heart. You can tell they love what they do.

My experiences at Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs have been very positive. I have not been able to wear my wedding ring or engagement ring for many years. Both were too big. I had gone to another jeweler first for my wedding ring and they said they could not fix it. After Hollander's did a great job fixing my wedding ring, I decided to get another setting for my engagement ring. Even my husband commented on how nice it looks. So much nicer than the original setting. Since I have not compared prices, I cannot comment on cost. However, I definitely would recommend the quality of their work.

I love using Cornelis Hollander for all my jewelry needs. Everything I’ve had done is custom, but their catalogue is so unique. Walter asked great questions to draw up mock-ups of what I was looking for. Then, he adjusted the models with my feedback and crafted some beautiful pieces. This is a diligent family owned business that matches larger companies in their quality materials and prices, but they have such a unique style. I love telling my friends about this place - I get so many compliments on my jewelry I have to tell them where it is from. Favorite piece is a ring that Walter drew up a model of from a family heirloom. I had lost one of the two pearl earrings, and Walter made the one I had left into a beautiful ring. Love that it is repurposed and keeps meaning but is now a unique style that gets tons of compliments.

My husband first purchased my engagement ring here, then we went back to tell Cornelis how much I loved it! We went back again for our wedding bands and worked with Walter. The customer service here is the best! I was not sure what kind of band I wanted and Walter was very patient and made helpful suggestions of what they could do that was different than what was on display. Walter and the staff at Cornelis Hollander Designs are awesome! Had zero experience with shopping for jewelry, let alone designing a custom piece. They took the time to show me multiple rings and point out the features that accentuated each one, respectively. We compiled the elements I liked from several of them. Within 48hrs I had a rendering of what the ring would look like (didn’t even realize I was designing it with them). They took my feedback, we went back and forth several times (staff is amazingly patient) until it was perfect, and then delivered perfection! The biggest part of this was using stones from an existing ring with heavy sentimental value. I never once felt that I had to worry about the quality of the work, the preservation of the stones or the beauty of the finished ring. The only hard part was hiding it while traveling with my then girlfriend, and now fiancée. Thanks for perfect ring for a perfect person!

I first met Cornelis back in 2006 when I purchased a car from him. He was an absolute lunatic in all the best ways, and it showed in both his taste in cars and his stunningly unique jewelry designs. I loved that he stayed in touch with not only creating ultra high end custom pieces but also offering lines of unique, stunning, very affordable things as well.Since he passed away, his wife and son have been keeping things going, and Walter has done a great job filling in his father's shoes, keeping with the same principles of exceptional service that makes their business a no-brainer.I needed to buy an engagement ring about 6 years ago, when Cornelis was still with us, and he took my grandmother's old diamond and designed an absolutely stunning piece around it (pictured below). When it was unfortunately stolen, Jeweler's Mutual insurance paid completely for its replacement, and Walter's recreation of it was so perfect, down to his selection of the diamond, that I literally couldn't tell the difference if you put a gun to my head and a loupe in my hand, and the whole process couldn't have possibly been more hassle free (I don't even live in the state anymore, so everything done with the ring, from first purchase to replacement - was all done over the phone and email) I can't say what I paid, but let me just say that it was un-freaking-believably reasonable.Cornelis also took care of my family's request to have some custom pieces made in memorial of my grandparents. Both Cornelis and Walter have been so good to my family that as long as Walter keeps the business going, he will be getting every single jewelry job that I ever need. It was very sad when Cornelis passed - everyone wore orange on the day of his funeral - even me, who couldn't make it there - but Walter has truly filled his eccentric father's shoes and the business is as spectacular as it ever was.
